 | Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Chief, Division of Maternal/Fetal Medicine Dr. Peaceman is principle investigator on the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units Network Grant. The grant's four active clinical research protocols include investigating fetal monitoring, gestational diabetes, preeclampsia prevention, and cerebral palsy reduction. Dr. Peaceman is past chair of the research committee at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and founder and past director of the perinatal outcomes research group, a multidisciplinary research team investigating obstetric topics. He received his bachelor's degree from Harvard University cum laude and graduated from Baylor College of Medicine. His residency in obstetrics and gynecology was performed at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. After completing a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston, he joined the Northwestern faculty in 1989. Areas of specialty
