Dr. Robert Kushner is the recipient of the 2011 Atkinson-Stern Award for Distinguished Public Service from The Obesity Society
The Obesity Society awards the Atkinson-Stern Award for Distinguished Public Service to recognize an individual or organization whose work has significantly improved the lives of those affected by obesity, whether through research, public policy, patient care, or other means.

The Seventh Annual Lewis Landsberg Research Day was held on Thursday, April 7, 2011. The event is open to members of the research community who fall within one of the following categories: faculty; graduate students; MD-PhD (medical scientist) students; medical students; postdoctoral researchers and fellows; and clinical residents and fellows. More than 218 abstract were submitted.
Congratulations to NCCO affiliated Faculty Dr. Jami Josefson who won poster session awards in Clinical Research and from The Women Faculty Organization for her poster: Gestational Weight Gain in Women without Gestational Diabetes Mellitus is Associated with Increased Neonatal Fat Mass and Hyperinsulinemia.
