| Our objective is to develop the groundwork of a collaborative research community in the field of obesity and energy homeostasis that will evolve to international prominence. To achieve that objective we have five priorities: - Establish a rodent metabolic phenotyping core.
- Expand the activity of the existing human metabolism core.
- Stimulate obesity research at Northwestern University by annually funding pilot and feasibility studies on a competitive basis.
- Launch a series of monthly obesity seminars given by external speakers and an annual scientific retreat.
